Lesley Bandy grew up in New Zealand training in the RAD syllabus. She went to the UK at age 15 to study ballet full-time - first at the Scottish Ballet School in Edinburgh 1967, and then at the Royal Ballet School in London 1968/69. Link to snippets of Don Q pas de deux.

Lesley danced with the Royal Opera Ballet at Covent Garden, then as Principal and Adagio dancer in production shows - Lido in Paris, in Hong Kong, Reno & Las Vegas. She guested in classical ballet roles, in contemporary dance concerts, and had many pieces choreographed on her. Link to some lifts.

In the US, Lesley performed many of the leading classical ballet roles including: Giselle, Sugar Plum Fairy, Swanhilda (Coppelia), The Glove Seller (Gaite Parisienne), The Cowgirl (Rodeo), La Sylphide, Cinderella, Dying Swan, Don Quixote and Le Corsaire pas de deux.
