A Song, a Dance, and a Painting combined three distinct art practices in a choreographed conversation. Painter Ann Braunsteiner – working right in front of your eyes; in response and challenge to the dancer – Bjorn Aslund. Set to pieces from Britten and Cassado played by solo cellist Raeul Pierard.
Conceived by director/choreographer Lesley Bandy, this 40 minute performance melds these art forms in an intimate way through the bespoke mechanical set designed and built by Lee Woodman.
Primarily Dance is further excited to present Flames of the Heart, an original composition by the cellist, and young dancer Bianca Lungu dancing to The Swan by Saint-Saens.
